Welcome to Hastings Wireless

Hastings Wireless is a group of computer and radio enthusiasts who are pushing the limits of technology to the max! We plan to create a backbone using packet radios and then create local access points (Nodes) with 802.11b technology.

I should note that HastingsWireless will soon take its rightful place as part of ProjectDevel a project development website which will host a slew of my projects (once I get it done).

BIG NEWS! A Mission Statement has been created, now everyone can know exactly who we are and what we hope to accomplish. Look in the articles section for more detail.

New Server and Changes

In preparation for a new (faster) internet connection, we upgraded the server. The new stats are listed in the "About this server" link at the bottom of the page.

Since the forum wasn't being used (and the upgrade to php5 killed it) we have removed the forum. I (on ProjectDevel) am planning on writing my own forum software someday.

First Article Posted

An article that came from 2600 is posted in the articles section of Hastings Wireless. There should be four or five more within the week. Also, two more articles are under development. One concerning local ISP's and the other concerning Setting up a basic home network.
