Medium Area Networking Project:

The Medium Area Networking Project is the main goal of Hastings Wireless. The first objective is to create a link between two houses in Hastings Nebraska. The first will be Node 1 and the second will be Node 2. The distances involved are not amazing but the complications substantial. Node 1 to Node 2 is a distance of about three kilometers and is definitely non line of sight (NLOS).

Stage 01: Check for the possibility of Long Distance Directional Network Link
Stage 02: Path Analysis between Node 1 and Node 2
Stage 03: Check for other networks that may interfere with our MAN network project
Stage 04: Check zoning regulations that may prohibit the installation of equipment needed for MAN Network
Stage 05: Purchase needed equipment
Stage 06: Build/Buy Omni-Directional Antennas or other suitable antennas and cables
Stage 07: Complete a maximum range test for built/bought equipment
Stage 08: Setup hardware for final configuration
Stage 09: Establish a link between Node 1 and Node 2
Stage 10: Tune equipment for optimal configuration
Stage 11: Monitor equipment for variations in performance due to weather, vegetation, or other anomalies.
